D-Backs Reinstate Conor Jackson From Disabled List, Option Gerardo Parra

(PHOENIX) - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they have reinstated outfielder Conor Jackson from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Gerardo Parra to Triple-A Reno, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Josh Byrnes.

Jackson, 28, was placed on the disabled list on April 19 with a right hamstring strain and completed a 3-game rehab assignment with the Aces, batting .273 (3-for-11) with 4 runs scored, a homer and 2 RBI. Prior to his stint on the disabled list, Jackson was hitting .267 (12-for-45) with 3 runs scored, a double, 2 RBI and 6 walks while reaching base safely in all 11 games with the D-backs.

Parra, 23, played in 26 games for the D-backs, owning a .247 average (18-for-73) with 5 runs scored, 6 doubles, a triple and 7 RBI. Parra broke camp with the big league club for the first time in his career.
