PawSox Get Two Runs in the 9th to Beat the Braves

Josh Reddick snapped a 0-for-16 slump with a game-winning RBI single, as the Pawtucket Red Sox scored 2 runs in the 9th inning to beat the Gwinnett Braves 6-5 on Tuesday night.

It was Pawtucket's first-ever win at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA in eight games.

Lars Anderson belted a 2-run home run for the PawSox - his first at the Triple-A level after hitting 5 HR for Double-A Portland. Angel Sanchez had a double and triple to lift his batting average to .345.

Joe Nelson (2-1) tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for Pawtucket and Robert Manuel tossed a perfect ninth inning for his 2nd save.

Freddie Freeman had a pair of doubles for Gwinnett. Cory Gearrin (0-1) allowed both 9th inning runs to take the loss.

The PawSox have Wednesday off before opening a 4-game series in Charlotte on Thursday night at 7:15. Adam Mills (0-2, 5.11) will start for the PawSox and Jeffrey Marquez (2-3, 5.33) will take the mound for the Knights.
