
Mavericks To Face Mississippi In Opening Round

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks announced today the Central Hockey League (CHL) club will face the Mississippi RiverKings in the opening round of the 2010 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs. The teams have also set the schedule for both possible opening round scenarios.
The Mavericks currently sit in the fifth position in the Northern Conference, but they trail Mississippi by just one point. Both teams have two games remaining in the regular season; therefore the Mavericks could overtake Mississippi for the #4 seed.
The possible opening round series schedules are:
Mavs secure #4 seed:
Game 1: Monday, March 22nd at Mississippi
Game 2: Wednesday, March 24th at Missouri (Independence Events Center) - Round 1, Game A tickets
Game 3: *(If Necessary) Thursday, March 25th at Missouri (Independence Events Center) - Round 1, Game B tickets
Mavs secure #5 seed:
Game 1: Monday, March 22nd at Missouri (Independence Events Center) - Round 1, Game A tickets
Game 2: Wednesday, March 24th at Mississippi
Game 3: *(If Necessary) Thursday, March 25th at Mississippi
All Mavericks' home games begin at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets to the Mavericks first playoff game starting at only $13 are on sale now by visiting the Independence Events Center Box Office, calling (866) 443-8849, or visiting www.GetTIX.net. The Box Office will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mavericks season ticket holders are asked to please use the playoff tickets labeled ROUND 1, GAME A for the first Mavericks playoff game. Should the Mavs secure a #4 seed, Round 1, Game B tickets will go on sale Monday, March 22 at noon and will only be available via credit card purchase. Should game B not be necessary, all credit cards will be refunded automatically and tickets will not be able to be used to any future game.
The Mavericks take on the Allen Americans tonight at the Allen Event Center at 7:05p.m. Be sure to listen live on KCWJ 1030-AM or listen online through www.MissouriMavericks.com.
