Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades continue to hold down the 5th spot in BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings after the latest rankings came out on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blades were in action twice this past week. Last Wednesday evening, the Bridge City Bunch stormed back from a 4-0 deficit only to lose in overtime 5-4 to the Brandon Wheat Kings at home. On Saturday, the Blades scored with just over a minute remaining in regulation before defeating the Red Deer Rebels 4-3 in a shootout.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts. This is the tenth time the Blades have appeared on the list.
The Blades are in action tonight for the GlobalTV Toque Toss and $5 Ticket Night against the Kelowna Rockets. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tickets are just $5 for everyone in attendance. Fans are encouraged to bring toques, scarves, mitts, and other warm winter clothing to throw on the ice following the Blades' first goal of the night. The collected items will be donated to children around Saskatoon by MD Ambulance.
Tonight is also the first Budget Car & Truck Rental Rain Check Night of the season. Fans can bring any usused tickets to tonight's game and can purchase a game ticket for just $2.
