
Vancouver Giants Host Gordie Howe Night

Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe is back in Vancouver for the Giants annual Gordie Howe Night at the Pacific Coliseum on Friday December 18th for a game against the Chilliwack Bruins. Part owner of the Giants, Gordie Howe has won four Stanley Cups, six Hart Trophies, and six scoring titles. Following his playing days in Detroit, Howe was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972, but returned to hockey to play with his sons in the WHA and the NHL. Famous for his fierce elbows, uncanny scoring ability and legendary charisma, Howe retired with 801 goals, 1,049 assists and 1,850 points - all NHL records at the time.
The first five thousand fans through the doors Friday night will receive a commemorative photo of Gordie Howe, and one hundred of those fans will be randomly selected to meet Mr. Hockey and receive an autographed copy of Gordie Howe's news book Nine: A Salute to Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe.
