Grimaldi Added To Jackals Roster, Teslak Reassigned

December 9, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have signed defenseman Joe Grimaldi, and that goaltender Michael-Lee Teslak has been reassigned by the Philadelphia Flyers to the Adirondack Phantoms (AHL).

Grimaldi will be in his third season with the Jackals. In 2008-2009 with Elmira, Grimaldi totaled nine points (2g-7a) and 101 penalty minutes in 32 regular season games. He posted 14 points (2g-12a) and 53 penalty minutes in 2007-2008 with the Jackals. Grimaldi also participated in Jackals training camp before the start of the 2009-2010 season.

"Joe is the kind of physical defenseman that lets opposing teams know when he's on the ice," Jackals coach Steve Martinson said.

Teslak, who is under contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, is 5-5-1-1 in his second season with the Jackals with a 2.96 goals-against average and an.890 save percentage. He was reassigned to Adirondack by the Flyers earlier this season from Elmira but did not participate in a game.
