Countdown To Face-Off
December 9, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Two first place teams with identical point totals will square off tonight, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Reading Royals. Kalamazoo is 3-0-0-0 versus Reading with two of those victories occurring at Wing Stadium. While the teams will meet twice more, tonight is the Royals last visit to Wings Stadium.
A decisive 7-3 victory last Saturday against the Toledo Walleye keeps Kalamazoo atop of the North Division, two points ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones. This evening will commence an eight-game home stand for the K-Wings, which will conclude on New Year's Eve.
Winners of three straight, Reading has increased their lead over the Elmira Jackals to five points for first place in East Division. This evening is the second of a five-game road swing for the Royals, who started the stretch with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Trenton Devils.
