Devils Acquire Jack Combs

Trenton, NJ, December 9, 2009 - The Trenton Devils have acquired forward Jack Combs in a trade with the Alaska Aces. The announcement was made by Lowell and Trenton Devils' General Manger Chris Lamoriello.

Combs, 21, has recorded four points (1g, 3a) in 11 games for the Aces this season, including the game-winning goal in Alaska's season opener against Victoria. A left-handed shooter, Combs stands five feet, eleven inches, weighs 195 pounds and turns 22 January 26.

The Saint Louis, MO native amassed 175 points (74g, 101a) in his last two years of Major Junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Saginaw Spirit, including a 42-goal, 100-point campaign in 2007-08. The lone Saginaw representative at the 2008 OHL All-Star Classic, Combs ranks first in the Spirit record books with 134 career assists and second in both career points (229) and goals (95).
