Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced information regarding tickets for the 2009 Eastern League Playoffs. On Tuesday, August 18th at 9:00 AM the Sea Dogs will begin selling strip playoff tickets (tickets to all possible playoff games at Hadlock Field). Individual game playoff tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, August 26th at 9:00 AM.
The top two teams from each division qualify for post-season play. Currently the Sea Dogs (57-58) sit in second place in the Northern Division, a half game ahead of both the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) and the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins) for the final playoff spot. Portland is 8.5 games behind the Connecticut Defenders (Giants) for first place. The Sea Dogs are looking to qualify for post-season play for the fifth consecutive season. The Sea Dogs have 26 games remaining in the regular season, 14 of which will be played at Hadlock Field.
Playoff tickets can be purchased at the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at Hadlock Field and by calling 207-879-9500. Playoff tickets are priced the same as regular season ticket prices. Box seats are $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for kids and seniors. Reserved seats are $8.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids and seniors. While General Admission seats are $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids and seniors.
The Eastern League playoffs are set to start on Wednesday, September 9th. The top two teams in each division will play each other in a best of five series. The first place team hosts games 1, 2, and 5 (if necessary). The second place team hosts games 3 and 4 (if necessary). The winners of those two series will square off in a best of five Eastern League Championship Series. The Northern Division team will host games 1 and 2 and the Southern Division team will host games 3, 4 (if necessary), and 5 (if necessary).
Refunds will be given to any playoff game not played. Wednesday, September 30th is the last day to return any playoff tickets from games Not Played for a refund. You Must save your ticket from these games to get a refund. WE CANNOT ISSUE A REFUND WITHOUT THE TICKET.

The Portland Sea Dogs return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, August 18th for a seven game homestand starting with a 7:00 PM contest against the Reading Phillies on Tuesday night. Tickets are available for most 2009 Sea Dogs' home games. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
