R-Phils set to put playoff tickets on sale

Reading, PA - The Reading Phillies have announced that 2009 Eastern League Playoff tickets will go on sale on Friday, August 14. The R-Phils are currently battling for the 2nd playoff spot in the Eastern League's Southern Division and are also alive to win the division. The top two teams make the playoffs.

Playoff tickets are available online anytime at rphils.com/playoffs. Playoff tickets can also be purchased during home games at the advanced ticket window, at the box office or by phone. Box office and phone hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 and the number to call is 610-375-8469.

Playoff ticket prices are:

$12 - Yellow Box Seats

$11 - Red Reserved Seats

$10 - Adult General Admission

$8 - Child/Senior General Admission (5-14 and 62+)

- Please call for group and all-you-can-eat buffet prices

- Full refunds will be given for any playoff games not played.

If first place Akron were to win the division and the R-Phils secure 2nd place the tentative first round schedule and promotions would be:

Wed., Sept. 9 at Akron

Thurs., Sept. 10 at Akron

Fri., Sept. 11 at Reading (Fireworks, gates open at 5 PM for live music)

Sat., Sept. 12 at Reading (Fireworks, gates open at 5 PM for live music)*

Sun. Sept. 13 at Akron*

If the R-Phils overtake Akron and finish in first place first round home games, with fireworks, would be the opposite.

If the R-Phils advance to the championship round the tentative schedule and promotions would be:

Tues., Sept. 15 at Northern Division winner

Wed., Sept 16 at Northern Division winner

Thurs., Sept. 17 at Reading (Fireworks)

Fri., Sept., 18 at Reading (Fireworks)*

Sat., Sept. 19 at Reading (Fireworks)*

* If necessary
