
Ayla Brown to Sing National Anthems at 2009 All-Star Game

WORCESTER, Mass. ... Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that American Idol Finalist and national recording artist Ayla Brown will sing the American and Canadian national anthem before the 2009 American Hockey League All-Star Game on Monday, Jan. 26, at the DCU Center.
Brown, a native of Wrentham, Mass., competed on the fifth season of American Idol where she reached the top 16 in the entire competition. The experience has helped launch her music career, as she has performed in many local functions. She signed an exclusive record and distribution deal with Double Deal Brand Records and has released an album titled Forward.
She is also a junior at Boston College, where she plays on the Eagles' women's basketball team.
The 2009 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Charter Communications will feature the top young talent in the American Hockey League competing in the 2009 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 25 (4:00 p.m. ET), and the 2009 AHL All-Star Game on Monday, January 26 (7:00 p.m. ET). The event will be televised locally on NESN and will reach more than 100 million households in the United States and Canada.
