San Antonio Rampage News Release
THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Monday, Jan. 19 vs. Toronto @ AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
San Antonio and Toronto face-off in a rematch of last year's West- ern Conference first round playoff. The Marlies took the series 4-3 but San Antonio is 4-0-0-2 against Toronto in the regular season.
Wednesday, Jan. 21 vs. Lake Erie @ AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
Lake Erie returns to the AT&T Center, site of a 6-2 Rampage dis- mantling on New Year's Day. David Spina recorded his first career hat trick in the game and continued the Rampage ascent.
Friday, Jan. 23 vs. Milwaukee @ Bradley Center, 7:00 p.m.
Milwaukee currently leads the West Division remains one of the hottest teams in the league. San Antonio has been just as hot and the teams split a weekend series earlier this month. The Rampage won 2-1 OT decision before losing the following night 3-1.
Friday, Jan. 23 vs. Iowa @ Wells Fargo Arena, 7:05 p.m.
Iowa has been unkind to the Rampage. The Chops lead the sea- son series 3-1 and outscored the Rampage 11-2 at the Wells Fargo Arena. San Antonio won 5-1 back on October 25th.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09
THE WALL: Josh Tordjman stopped all 47 shots as San Antonio beat Peoria 2- 0 Sunday at the AT&T Center. It was his fourth shutout of the year, the sixth of his career and puts him just one shy of tying the franchise mark set by Travis Scott.
REBOUND WIN: The Rampage stepped up big in the 2-0 win against Peoria. It came after a disappointing loss to the Rivermen two nights before when Justin Fletcher scored the game winning goal with just 30.7 remaining in regu- lation. The loss was the second straight for San Antonio at home, which they hadn't done since 11/25 and 11/29, losing to Hamilton and Houston.
GOLDEN ROAD: San Antonio downed Rockford 4-2 last week at the Metro- Centre. The Rampage opened up a 3-0 lead before closing out their third straight road win, a season high.
TEXAS TWO STEP: When the Rampage lost 2-1 to Peoria last Friday, it was the first time San Antonio lost when allowing two goals or less since dropping a 2-1 decision to Chicago on 12/18. The Rampage are 12-3-0-1 when holding the opposition to two goals or less for the year.
ROCKY ROAD: Including today, the Rampage play four of their next six games at the AT&T Center where they are 10-3-0-0 since December. Then on January 31st they hit the road for a month-long journey. With the rodeo taking over the AT&T Center, San Antonio will play 13 games and spend 26 days on the road.
Upcoming Promotions
$1 Hot Dog Night: Don't forget that this Wednes- day is a $1 Hot Dog Night courtesy of KZEP 104.5 FM. Get Dollar Dogs when the Monsters invade the AT&T Center at 7 p.m.
