LAST WEEK: The Binghamton Senators (22-13-3-3, 50 pts.) continued their eight-game home stand with two wins in three games including a divisional win over I-81 rival Wilkes-Barre Scranton on Friday night.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 14 vs. ROCHESTER (4-1 W): The B-Sens continued their dominance over Rochester with their third win of the season over the Amerks. Netminder Jeff Glass turned away 36 shots on his way to a second straight win in net. Right-winger Ryan Shannon tied a career-high with three assists for the B-Sens. Greg Mauldin netted his seventh marker of the season to extend his point streak to four games (3+3). Denis Hamel also tallied to extend his point streak to four games (4+3). Defenseman Matt Carkner buried his second goal of the season, while fellow blueliner Tomas Kudelka collected his third marker. The B-Sens are 7-0-1-0 in their last eight home games against Rochester.

FRIDAY, JAN. 16 vs. WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON (6-4 W): Binghamton snapped a three-game losing streak to the Penguins with a season-high six goals. Shawn Weller registered the game-winning goal for the B-Sens, his second tally of the year. Peter Regin had his second two-goal game with both markers coming on the power play. Ilya Zubov tied a career high with three points (1+2). Danny Bois finished the night with two assists, as did rookie Zack Smith. Denis Hamel had one goal and one assist to extend his point streak to five games (5+4). Greg Mauldin also extended his point streak to five games (3+4) with one assist. Martin Gerber, in Binghamton for a two-week conditioning stint, made 43 saves in his first appearance in net.

SATURDAY, JAN. 17 vs. BRIDGEPORT (3-1 L): The B-Sens continue to struggle against the Sound Tigers with their fourth regulation loss of the season to the division rival. Defenseman Matt Carkner netted Binghamton's lone goal, his third of the season, to event his point streak to three games (2+1). Ryan Shannon assisted on Carkner's goal to give him five assists in three games. Martin Gerber made his second consecutive start and made 26 saves in the losing effort.

THIS WEEK: The B-Sens finish their eight-game home stand on Wednesday night when the Philadelphia Phantoms (24-18-1-1, 50 pts.) visit the Arena. Binghamton heads up I-88 to take on the Albany River Rats (17-20-3-2, 39 pts.) on Friday night. The B-Sens finish the week at home on Saturday night against the Hamilton Bulldogs (26-14-0-2, 54 pts.).

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21 vs. PHILADELPHIA (7:05 p.m.): The Phantoms have won four straight games to climb into a tie for fourth place in the East Division with Binghamton. Two of Binghamton's three overtime losses have come at the hands of the Phantoms, including the last meeting between the two teams on Dec. 17 in Philadelphia. Philadelphia defenseman Danny Syvret leads all defensemen in the AHL in points (41) and assists (35). Center Danny Briere, assigned to the Phantoms for conditioning, has five points in three games. Netminder Scott Munroe has 18 wins for the Phantoms, tied for second among all AHL goaltenders.

FRIDAY, JAN. 23 @ ALBANY (7:00 p.m.): The River Rats have rebounded from a rough start to get within 11 points of the final playoff spot in the East Division. Albany is 6-4-0-0 over its last 10 games, with two of those wins against the AHL's top team, the Hershey Bears. Left-winger Michael Ryan has 32 points (20+12) in 33 games for the River Rats. Rookie Zack Smith buried two goals in Binghamton's 4-3 overtime win in Albany on Oct. 22. The B-Sens have 28 all-time wins against the River Rats, their second most wins against any franchise.

SATURDAY, JAN. 24 vs. HAMILTON (7:05 p.m.): Binghamton has won its first two games against Hamilton this season. Danny Bois and Denis Hamel tallied in both wins. The Bulldogs have been hot of late, going 7-3-0-0 in their last 10 games. Center Yanick Lehoux has 40 points (15+25) to lead the offensive attack for the Bulldogs. Netminder Marc Denis has 14 of the Bulldogs 26 wins.

SENS SNIPPETS:

The B-Sens posted a 13-4-1-2 record over games 21-40.

Binghamton registered a season-high six goals against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday night.

The B-Sens power-play unit continues to lead the AHL (23.9%).

Right-winger Ryan Shannon has 20 power-play points (6+14) to lead the B-Sens.

Defenseman Neil Petruic played in his 150th AHL game on Saturday night against Bridgeport.

Left-winger Ilya Zubov played in his 100th AHL game on Saturday night against Bridgeport.

Left-winger Shawn Weller played in his 100th AHL game on Saturday night against Bridgeport.

Right-winger Danny Bois surpassed 900 AHL penalty minutes on Saturday night against Bridgeport.
