
Hitmen Extend Franchise Record Home Ice Winning Streak To 16 Games

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen beat the Prince Albert Raiders 7-1 Wednesday night to extend their franchise record home ice winning streak to 16 games.
The win was also Calgary's 12th straight overall, improving the Hitmen record to a Western Hockey League leading 37-5-1-1.
Chase Schaber led the scoring attack posting a career high three points (2g 1a), while Ian Schultz and Tyler Fiddler each chipped in a goal and two assists.
Michael Stone, Jason MacDonald, and Cody Sylvester also scored for the Hitmen who built period leads of 2-0 and 3-0.
Martin Jones made 21 saves for the victory and was 35 seconds shy of recording his third straight shutout when the Raiders Bryce Lamb scored the lone Prince Albert goal.
The Hitmen return to action this weekend with a pair of games. Saturday they travel to Cranbrook to play the Kootenay Ice before returning home Sunday to host the Swift Current Broncos. Sunday's game is a 5:00 p.m. start at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
