ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a three-game losing skid as they take the field in the middle game of a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs won the series opener on Tuesday night, 8-1, behind a strong pitching performance from starting pitcher Michael Bowden. The Sea Dogs limited the ‘Wolves to just one run on three hits in the game...The Sea Dogs are the second place team in the Northern Division, one game behind first place Trenton. Erie enters tonight's game in a fifth place tie in the South, 12 games behind first place Harrisburg...The SeaWolves are in a stretch of games where they will play 15 straight and 19 of the next 22 games vs. Northern Division opponents. Erie's next game against a Southern Division opponent comes on June 20 when they travel to Harrisburg. Erie is just 2-9 against the North this season...Lefty Danny Christensen takes the mound for the Howlers, making his 11th start of the season. He has picked up two straight wins including his last outing against Reading where he went six innings, allowing five runs, two earned, on nine hits with three walks and three strikeouts. The ‘Wolves are victorious in the last three games started by Christensen...LHP Kris Johnson takes the mound for the Sea Dogs. Johnson is 0-1 with three no-decisions in his last four starts. In his most recent appearance against New Hampshire, Johnson lasted just 2.2 innings, surrendering seven runs, six earned on eight hits.
