New Britain Rock Cats News Release

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats announced today that middle INF Felix Molina, a veteran of four seasons in New Britain, has been returned to the AA Rock Cats after a 12-day stint with the Rochester Red Wings of the International League. The 25-year-old native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico appeared in three games for the AAA Red Wings and was hitless in four at-bats.

The left-handed hitting Molina rejoined the Rock Cats last night in Altoona, PA.

A 21st Round selection of the Minnesota Twins in the 2001 Draft, the 5'8"/180-pound Molina has spent virtually all of the last 2-plus seasons with New Britain; his outstanding performance in 2006 earned him a spot on the Eastern League All-Star team.

The sure-handed INF appeared in 32 games for the 2008 Rock Cats prior to his first call to the Triple-A level. He departed for Rochester with a .227 BA, with 8 of his 25 total hits in a New Britain uniform being Doubles.

The New Britain Rock Cats are the AA, Eastern League affiliate of the American League's Minnesota Twins.
