Buzachero heads up to Buffalo

May 24, 2008 - Eastern League (EL) Akron Aeros

The Aeros made a roster move today, as RHP Bubbie Buzachero was promoted to Class AAA Buffalo for the second time this year and RHP Frank Herrmann rejoined the club after making a spot-start at Class A Kinston last night. The Aeros also removed RHP Jake Westbrook from their active roster following his rehab start last night.

In five appearances with Akron this season, Buzachero is 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA. He picked up the save in Thursday morning's game against the Altoona Curve, tossing one inning and allowing one run. With Buffalo this year, the Livingston, TN native is 1-2 with a 4.42 ERA.

Herrmann made a spot start at Class A Kinston after Westbrook pitched in his spot in the rotation at Akron. In his start at Kinston Friday Herrmann did not get the decision in an 8-7 Kinston loss to Winston-Salem. Herrmann went 5.1 innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits, while striking out four and walking one. In eight starts with Akron this year, Herrmann is 4-3 with a 5.23 ERA. He is 2-0 at Canal Park with a miniscule 0.98 ERA.

Westbrook returns to the Indians after a rehab start Friday, in which he tossed six innings, allowing just three hits, while walking four and striking out two. He did not get the decision in a 4-0 Aeros win over the Erie SeaWolves. Westbrook is 1-2 with a 2.73 ERA with Cleveland this season.
