Bes Named To All-CHL Team

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League announced Tuesday that Jeff Bes has been named to the All-CHL team for the 2007-2008 regular season. The All-CHL team is voted on by all 17 head coaches.

Bes, a 16-year pro, is joined on the squad by fellow forwards Alex Leavitt (Arizona) and Brent Cullaton (Rocky Mountain), defensemen Aaron Schneekloth (Colorado), and Vladimir Hartinger (New Mexico), and goaltender John DeCaro (Bossier-Shreveport).

Bes, who is also a finalist for the CHL MVP award, registered his second 100 point season of his career (102). Bes has scored 44 goals, with 58 assists for 102 points, putting him second in the league in scoring behind Leavitt (35-80=115).

The Tillsonburg, Ontario native's 44 goals sets a new career high, and puts him second in the league behind Rocky Mountain's Daymen Rycroft (47). With one goal in the Bucks final two regular season games, Bes will tie former line mate Chris Grenville for most goals scored in a regular season by a Buck (45).

Bes also leads the league with a +40 plus/minus rating, and his 58 assists rank him fourth in the league. Bes' 15 power-play goals are third in the league behind Amarillo's David Nimmo (23).

Being named to the All-CHL team adds to the list of accolades that Bes has already received this season. He has been voted player of the week twice this season, voted Best Overall Player, and Smartest player in the Best of the Best Poll, and was named captain of the Southern Conference all-star team in January.

Bes joins teammate Serge Dube as the only two Bucks players to be named to the All-CHL Team. Dube was on the squad for the 2005-06 campaign.

The rest of the CHL awards will be handed out this week, with the coach of the year and rookie of the year (Andrew Desjardins a finalist) being announced Wednesday, Thursday the Rick Kozuback and CHL Man of the Year will be announced, the goaltender (Dustin Traylen a finalist) and defenseman of the year (Adam Rivet a finalist) will be announced Friday, with the CHL MVP award (Jeff Bes a finalist) being announced Monday March 24th.

**Bucks To Make Big Announcement During Friday's Game**

The Bucks will make a special announcement at the end of the second period of Friday's game against Rio Grande Valley. Bucks head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski will make the announcement live on the ice before the second intermission begins.

The Bucks returned to Laredo Monday afternoon and will resume practice Thursday. Laredo will finish out the regular season Friday and Saturday in a home and home series against Rio Grande Valley. Friday night the Bucks will host the Bees on TCI Tire Center Night. There will be a HUGE car show outside the LEC before the game. The Grand Prize for the winner of the Car Show is a $1,000 gift certificate to TCI Tire Center. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive hand clappers, courtesy of TCI Tire Center. During the playoffs the Bucks will offer a discount for Military Members and students (any level). On all walk-up tickets for playoff games Military Members and students will receive a $2.50 discount for all ticket levels (with a valid ID).

**Bucks Playoff Schedule**

The Bucks are scheduled to open the 2008 Playoffs at the LEC on Saturday March 29th at 7:30pm, with game two of that series on Monday March 31st at 7:00pm. The official playoff schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
