New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT - With the snow shovels now safely put away, the New Britain Rock Cats have finalized some additional make-up dates for the eight early season postponements they experienced due to the cold and wet New England Spring.
Here are details related to 3 HOME and 2 AWAY Doubleheaders that are upcoming:
On Sunday, June 3rd, the Rock Cats will play an afternoon Doubleheader at New Britain Stadium against New Hampshire. The first pitch of Game 1 will be tossed at 1:35 PM with Game 2 starting some twenty-five minutes after the conclusion of the opener. Both games of the single-admission affair will be 7 innings in duration. This game will make up for the April 15th rainout in New Britain.
On Wednesday, June 20th, the Rock Cats will play a twi-light Doubleheader at New Britain Stadium against New Hampshire. The first pitch of the two 7-inning contests will be thrown at 5:05 PM. This twin-bill will make up for the April 12th rainout in New Britain.
On Thursday, June 28th at Manchester, New Hampshire, the Rock Cats will visit the Fisher Cats for a twi-light Doubleheader starting at 6:05 PM. Both games will be 7 innings in duration. This will make up for the April 6th postponement at that site.
On Wednesday, July 4th, the Rock Cats will host an old-fashioned, Red, White & Blue Afternoon Doubleheader against the Portland Sea Dogs at 4:05 PM at New Britain Stadium. What a great way to celebrate the American holiday. This enhanced date will make up for the April 25th rainout with Portland scheduled for the Hardware City.
On Saturday, July 28th, the Rock Cats will visit Manchester, New Hampshire and again do double duty with the Fisher Cats. These will be two 7-inning contests with Game 1 starting at 2:05 PM and Game 2 commencing at 7:05 PM. Game 1 is the make-up date for the snowed out April 5th contest.
