Monarchs Sign Lewis To ATO

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed center Trevor Lewis to an amateur tryout agreement and reassigned center Greg Hogeboom to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Lewis, 20, played in 62 games with the Ontario Hockey League's Owen Sound Attack this season, recording 29 goals and 44 assists for 73 points and 51 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 192-pound native of Salt Lake City, Utah, spent the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League. As a Buccaneer, Lewis collected 97 points (45-52=97) and 139 penalty minutes in 108 games. Selected by the Kings in the first round (17th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Lewis will wear No. 22 with the Monarchs.
Hogeboom, 24, has appeared in 15 games with the Monarchs this season and registered one assist and six penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Etobicoke, Ontario, leads the Royals with 29 goals, 39 assists and 68 points in 51 games this season. From 2003-07, Hogeboom has 22 points (10-12=22) in 74 games with the Monarchs. The 2004 graduate of Miami University (Ohio) was selected by the Kings in the fifth round (152nd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
