AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Syracuse Crunch defenseman Filip Novak has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Binghamton on Apr. 1. Novak was assessed a gross misconduct in the second period.

Novak will miss the Crunch's games on Wednesday (Apr. 4) vs. Grand Rapids and Thursday (Apr. 5) at Hamilton.

Philadelphia Phantoms defenseman Martin Grenier has been suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Binghamton on Mar. 31. Grenier was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21.

Grenier will miss the Phantoms' game on Wednesday (Apr. 4) vs. Bridgeport.

Manchester Monarchs defenseman Paul Crosty has been suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Hartford on Mar. 31.

Crosty missed the Monarchs' game on Apr. 1 vs. Hartford.
