Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
CHARLESTON, WV (May 29, 2006) - The West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers have made another roster move.
Today, catcher Nestor Corredor and infielder Scotty McKnight were added to the Power roster to replace right handed pitcher Ronny Malave and infielder Kenny Holmberg who were both put on the disabled list.

Malave was 3-1 with a pair of saves and a 3.74 ERA over 11 appearances before being put on the disabled list. Kenny Holmberg has experienced more pain in his sprained left ankle and is back on the disabled list 10 days after he was activated. Holmberg was hitting .293 over 24 games with four homeruns before being placed on the disabled list for the second time.
Nestor Corredor spent the 2005 season with the Power and began the 2006 season with the Brevard County Manatees in the Florida State League. Last year he hit .203 in 45 games with the Power. Corredor hit .183 over 22 games this season with Brevard County before being sent to West Virginia.
Scotty McKnight began the year in West Virginia before he was sent to Brevard County back in April. McKnight hit .222 over five games with the Power before his promotion and he hit .198 over 26 games with the Brevard County Manatees.
The Power will continue the four game series against the Lakewood BlueClaws at Appalachian Power Park on Monday night. Lakewood will start left hander Josh Outman (1-4, 3.67) and the Power will counter with right hander Kevin Roberts (2-6, 4.66). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
