Hagerstown cut the lead to 2-1 on a two out ground ball to the right side in the fifth inning. With two on, and two out, CF Joe Holden bounced a ball to the right side that eluded both Crawdad fielders and went into right field scoring DH Rafael Arroyo.

Hickory made it 3-1 on Lillibridge's two out RBI single in the sixth inning off of reliever Kevin Tomasiewicz scoring 3B Tony Mansolino. The 'Dads tallied a trifecta in the seventh inning. McCutchen led off the seventh drawing a walk. After Carlin singled and Corley popped out, LF Jason Delaney gave Hickory a 4-1 lead with a run scoring single. Mansolino's sacrifice fly made it 5-1. Lerud drove in a third run on a sac fly to make it 6-1.

Bauserman (6-3) worked seven innings allowing one run on five hits to earn the win. Niese (6-3) gave up three runs on six hits in the loss. Derek Antelo pitched a scoreless eighth for the 'Dads. Matt Swanson allowed one Hagerstown run getting the final three outs for Hickory.
