March 2, 2026 - The AppleSox organization announced on Monday the addition of the first three players to the 2026 roster. Kanoa Morisaki, Joe Thornton, and Drew Welk will join this summer's team. All of them are returning players; Morisaki and Thornton come back to Wenatchee after appearing on last summer's roster, while Welk returns after an appearance in the 2024 season.

Batting for long balls is a fool's errand, he says.
"You're going to start popping the ball up in the infield or hitting really lazy fly balls," the 21-year-old Olympia, Washington native says. "Home runs for me are never necessarily on purpose, they're always sort of an accidental thing."
