Sweets to Return to Full Capacity Seating

WCL Walla Walla Sweets June 21, 2021 - WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Starting no later than July 1, the Walla Walla Sweets will lift many of the current COVID-19 restrictions in place and allow full stadium capacity at Borleske Stadium for the rest of the summer season. Tickets for all remaining games will go on sale starting Friday, June 25 at 10am online and at the downtown Sweets Shoppe. Linscott and Ross Earn WCL's Moss Adams Weekly Honors

WCL June 21, 2021 - Monday, Commissioner Rob Neyer announced that the West Coast League's Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week are Bend Elks outfielder Sam Linscott (Lewis-Clark State College) and Corvallis Knights left-hander Ethan Ross (Washington State University). Linscott went 9 for 25 with eight runs batted in during Bend's six games last week. The LCSC senior-to-be currently leads the league with his .486 batting average. Three Homers Lead Pippins Past CCL Showcase Team

WCL Yakima Valley Pippins June 21, 2021 - The Yakima Valley Pippins scored a season-high 22 runs Sunday to defeat the Cascade Collegiate League's showcase team and win their 10th-straight game in the process. The Pippins were aided by three long balls, including a two-out grand slam by Noah Williamson in the bottom of the fourth, and every spot in the lineup scored a run. Kirby Robertson started on the mound for the Pippins, and turned in six innings while allowing three runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. He allowed a run in the first innin... Sweets Pull out Victory over Highline Bears

WCL Walla Walla Sweets June 21, 2021 - Walla Walla, Wash. - Strikeouts have been a strength of the Walla Walla Sweets pitching staff all year, and they put it on full display again Sunday in a 4-2 win over the Highline Bears. The Sweets matched their season high with 18 strikeouts, with four pitchers combining to achieve the feat. The Sweets have recorded at least ten strikeouts in all but one of their games in 2021.
