September 19, 2018 - VICTORIA, B.C. - From one of the best places to play college baseball, to one of the best places to play collegiate summer baseball -- three players from the University of Hawaii in Manoa will be part of the HarbourCats roster in 2019, including a key returning infielder. September 4, 2018 - VICTORIA, B.C. - It's rare to be a switch-hitter in baseball -- rarer still to be able to play both right- and left-handed on the defensive side of the ball. The first player signed and announced for the 2019 season is just such a player -- infielder Trevin Esquerra from the Loyola Marymount University Lions, who is fully ambidextrous. Victoria Mavericks to Play for Gold at Baseball Canada Nationals

August 26, 2018 - Victoria, BC - A three-run, fourth inning home run by Duncan Blades broke up a tight 1-1 ball game and propelled the host Victoria Mavericks to an eventual 4-1 win over the Tecumseh Thunder (Ontario 1) Sunday morning in semi-final action at the 2018 Baseball Canada Men's National Championship at Wilson's Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria.
