August 5, 2025 - In their first home playoff game in 18 years, the Quad City Steamwheelers defeated the Jacksonville Sharks in round one of the Indoor Football League (IFL) playoffs, 57-41. The two Eastern Conference opponents battled throughout the game, with the Wheelers taking the early lead, but Jacksonville fought back and tied the game in the fourth quarter. July 28, 2025 - In the Quad City Steamwheelers' final game of the 2025 regular season, the team lost in a tight 49-48 home shootout against their Eastern Conference foes, the Tulsa Oilers.
