April 28, 2026 - Abbotsford Canucks General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has signed forward Ben Berard to a one-year contract extension through the 2026-27 AHL season. Berard, 27, led Abbotsford players in goals (20) and ranked second on the team in points (37) while establishing AHL career highs in all major statistical categories over 63 games played for the Canucks in 2025-26. Rolling with an 11-and-7 formation, Jiří Patera got the start in net, facing off against Erik Portillo at the other end.
