
Zs Win in Final Game at Rosenblatt

Scott Cousins drove home three runs and Tom Mastny pitched six solid innings in the Zephyrs 9-6 win at Rosenblatt Stadium on Monday afternoon. Mastny allowed two runs on five hits in six innings earning his third win for the Zephyrs. The Z's scored two runs in the first, added two more in the second inning and jumped to a 7-0 lead through four innings. Omaha starter Gil Meche on a rehab start for Kansas City, struggled allowing seven earned runs in four innings. Brian Barden drilled a home run for the Zephyrs in the eighth inning and the Zephyrs won four out of six in Omaha.
Game Notes: Z's third baseman Hector Luna drove home his 71st RBI of the season on Monday. He is tied for 5th in the PCL. Scott Cousins extended his hit streak to 8 games. The Zephyrs played their final game at historic Rosenblatt Stadium on Monday and finished with a 74-72 all-time record in the building. The stadium hosted its final College World Series in June and will play its final baseball game on September 2nd. The Z's finished the road trip 5-5 and are 4 games back of first place Oklahoma.
Coming up - The Zephyrs return home for a nine game homestand on Tuesday. The Z's will host the defending PCL Champion Memphis Redbirds at 7:00. LH Sean West (3-3, 3.70) will start for the Zephyrs against RH PJ Walters. RADIO: 106.1 FM
