New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release

Metairie, LA - In the wake of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill that has had serious impact on the livelihood of so many in the fishing industry, the New Orleans Zephyrs are offering discounted admission to all fishermen and their families for Wednesday's 11:30 a.m. game against the Omaha Royals.

Fishermen can present their fishing license at the ticket window to receive the discount.

Also present at Wednesday's game will be the Baseball Wives Charitable Foundation, a group of wives of current and former Major League players who are in New Orleans to help raise awareness and funds for those affected in the Gulf Region.

"Major League Baseball and its charities have made a major impact in our community over the years and their work has not only brought financial assistance to our community but has raised awareness and it's great that they continue to support the area," said Zephyrs General Manager Mike Schline.

For tickets or for more information, please contact the Zephyrs at (504) 734-5155.
