
Yi Jianlian Debuts for Texas Legends

Frisco, TX - Despite the frontcourt help by Sean Williams and Yi Jianlian, the Texas Legends fell short to the Austin Toros 108-93.
Yi, the 7'0" forward/center on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, contributed a strong 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks in his Legends debut. Sean Williams led Texas in scoring with 19 points on eight of 11 attempts from the field.
Former Legend, Justin Dentmon exploded for a season high 31 points, three points better than his previous season high also against the Legends on opening night.
Texas failed to find their shot from the outside, making a mere four of 18 from long range for 22.2%. Booker Woodfox poured in 17 points for Texas, making three from three point range.
Despite the poor shooting Ramon Dyer kept the Legends in the game with eight offensive rebounds, while tying a team high total of 11.
Yi Jianlian will make his first appearance at home for the Texas Legends (5-11) on Sunday when they face the Maine Red Claws (4-11) at 3:00PM at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas.
