Tulsa 66ers News Release

TULSA, OK - Marcus Lewis posted 10 points and 16 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season, Dwight Buycks pitched in a game-high 19 points and the Tulsa 66ers (9-6) racked up a season-high 29 assists to race by the Maine Red Claws (4-12) 108-83 Saturday evening inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Robert Vaden and Larry Owens with 15, Brady Morningstar with 14 and Nkem Ojougboh with 10. Owens and Buycks also pitched in six assists.

Tulsa's defense was strong, holding Maine to 29-of-74 (.392) shooting on the night. The 66ers forced 20 turnovers and notched six steals, led by Bucyks with two thefts.

Tulsa, who never trailed in the contest and led by as many as 32, shot 41-of-81 (.506) from the floor. The 25-point win marked the largest margin of victory for the team this season.

"I thought everyone was engaged on the defensive end of the floor tonight," 66ers head coach Dale Osbourne said. "Offensively, we did a great job of sharing the basketball and finding open teammates. When we play great team defense, that leads to great offense for us."

Leading Maine in scoring was reserve Jerome Randle with 16 points. Dominic Calegari, Xavier Silas and Anthony Kent each recorded a team-high six rebounds.

The 66ers return to the hardwood tomorrow afternoon, Jan. 8, when they host the Austin Toros at 4 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
