
Tulsa 66ers Re-Acquire Sumpter and Vaden

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 7, 2012 - The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, announced today that they have re-acquired forward Curtis Sumpter and guard Robert Vaden. To make room on the roster the 66ers have waived guards Billy Rush and LaDustin Williams.
Sumpter began this season with the 66ers, playing in 10 games (all starts) and averaging 8.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 25.7 minutes. The Villanova product was waived on Dec. 28 due to injury.
Vaden played the entire 2010-11 season with the 66ers, averaging 10.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 45 regular season contests before being signed by the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 9. The University of Alabama-Birmingham product spent the past three months playing for Bemaco Nitra of the Slovakian League.
The Tulsa 66ers return to action this weekend with back-to-back home games. The 66ers will host the Maine Red Claws tonight at 7 p.m. before hosting the Austin Toros on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 4 p.m.
