Asencio began his week with a monster performance against Tulsa on July 13 at Wolff Stadium, where he hit a pair of homers and drove in all six of San Antonio's runs in a 6-5 win. The six RBI for Asencio set a new career high.  The last six-RBI performance for San Antonio was by James Darnell on May 17, 2011 at Corpus Christi.  Asencio's two-homer game was his second of the season and his sixth of his career.  Five of the six have come as a Mission.

The outfielder added three more multi-hit games for the week, which included a season-high four-hit performance in San Antonio's 11-10 win at Midland on July 18. Asencio leads the Missions with 28 multi-hit games this season.

In 85 games this season for San Antonio, Asencio is batting .297 (94-for-317) with 16 doubles, one triple, eight homers, 44 RBI and 34 runs scored. Asencio is currently 6th in the TL in both AVG and hits.
