New York Yankees RHP Domingo Germán with the Somerset Patriots

Bridgewater, NJ - The New York Yankees have announced that RHP Domingo Germán will continue his rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset Patriots on Tuesday, June 28. He is expected to start tonight's game against the Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies) on the road.
Continuing to recover from his shoulder injury, Germán last pitched for New York on October 1, 2021. He was placed on the 60-day IL in March and was assigned to Low-A Tampa on June 22.
Signed to a minor league contract by the Miami Marlins in May of 2010, Germán was traded to the Yankees in December of 2014.
Germán made his MLB debut on June 11, 2017 and has since posted a career 24-16 record with a 4.54 ERA and 371 strikeouts.
The right-handed hurler from the Dominican Republic registered 18 wins in 2019, good for fourth in the American League, as well as 153 strikeouts, both career highs.
Last season, Germán notched a 4-5 record with a 4.58 ERA and 98 strikeouts.
Germán is the second MLB rehab assigned to the Patriots this season, joining LHP Aroldis Chapman (June 24-26). He becomes the 13th since the Yankees affiliation began in Somerset in 2021.
The Patriots will take on Reading in a six-game series between June 28 to July 3 at FirstEnergy stadium during German's rehab assignment.
