Portland, Maine - David Hamilton tripled and drove in two runs while Hudson Potts hit a walk-off sacrifice fly as the Portland Sea Dogs (31-39) took home a 5-4 win in 10 innings against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (31-39) Tuesday at Hadlock Field.
New Hampshire brought in the first run of the game in the top of the first against Major League rehabber Josh Taylor. With one out, Spencer Horwitz hit a solo homer to right. It was his ninth of the season and it gave the Fisher Cats a 1-0 lead.
The Sea Dogs answered in the bottom of the fourth inning against Fisher Cats starter Nick Fraze. After a walk to Nick Sogard, Elih Marrero hit an RBI groundout to shortstop, plating Hamilton and giving Portland their first lead 2-1.
The Fisher Cats were able to tie the game in the top of the fifth inning against Sea Dogs pitcher Bryan Mata. Zac Cook led off the inning with a double. One out later, Ryan Gold doubled to left, driving in Cook, tying the game 2-2.
Portland took the lead in the ninth inning with Fisher Cats reliever Andrew Bash on the mound. Ceddanne Rafaela singled, and Christian Koss was hit by a pitch. Hudson Potts grounded into a fielder's choice to put runners on the corners. David Hamilton tripled to right, bringing in Rafaela and Potts, regaining the lead for Portland 4-2.
New Hampshire tied the game again in the top of the ninth inning with Portland reliever Jake Thompson pitching. Luis De Los Santos led off with a base hit. Cook and Gold were both hit by pitches to load the bases. Rafael Lantigua sent a double down the right field line, plating De Los Santos and Cook, tying the game 4-4.
