
Yankees-Red Sox Rivalry Extends to Empire State and Pawtucket at Frontier Field

ROCHESTER, NY - The century-long Yankees-Red Sox rivalry will extend to Empire State and Pawtucket when the two teams square off at Frontier Field next Monday and Tuesday, July 30-31. Both nights will feature special promotions, including photo opportunities with World Series rings from both parent clubs. Rivalry food specials will also be available at concession stands.
A 2009 Yankees World Series ring and a 2004 Red Sox World Series ring will be available for fans to wear for a photograph from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 30 only. The photo opportunities will take place in the Red Wings Hall of Fame and fans are asked to bring their own cameras.
Fans are encouraged to wear their Yankees and Red Sox gear for both games. Those in attendance with their Yankees and Red Sox clothing will have a chance to be randomly selected to participate in special promotions including being a ballboy/ballgirl for an inning, reading the starting lineups on the public address system from the field prior to the games, and serving as a public address announcer for an inning from the press box.
On Monday, July 30, the first 1,000 Yankees fans through the turnstiles will receive a Robinson Cano backpack and the first 1,000 Red Sox fans will receive a Dustin Pedroia backpack. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
John Flaherty, who played for both the Yankees and Red Sox, will be on hand at Frontier Field on Tuesday, July 31. He will sign autographs in the Red Wings Hall of Fame that night from 6:00 - 6:50 and 7:15 - 8:00.

There are six Empire State Yankees regular-season home games remaining at Frontier Field. Following the two PawSox-Yankees games, only a four-game series vs. Indianapolis (Pirates) August 2-5 remains.
