ESMERLING SILVER: Esmerling Vasquez recorded his first win as a starter since May 31, 2008 with Triple-A Tucson (Diamondbacks) at Fresno.

SIX-PACK SUMMER: The Red Wings have gone 6 straight games without committing an error, their longest such streak since a 7-game stretch May 23-30, 2011.

CHANGSAW MASSACRE: Ray Chang has hit safely in 6 games in a row, going 8-22 (.364).

CHICKEN PARM: Chris Parmelee has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games with the Red Wings beginning July 13, batting .317 (13-for-41).

ON THE MARK: Mark Teahen hit just his 2nd home run, his first since April 25 at Frontier Field.
