GREENVILLE, S.C. - The New York Yankees have announced the following minor league transactions affecting the RiverDogs roster:

-   IF Welfrin Mateo transferred from Extended Spring Training to Charleston

-   IF Miguel Flames - placed on Charleston 7-day disabled list

Mateo, 22, spent his fourth pro campaign with Short Season Staten Island last year, hitting .256 (23-for-90) with 4 doubles and 10 RBI in 32 games while playing all around the infield at third, second and short. The Dominican Republic native is a career .287/.359/.406 hitter in nearly 200 games in the minors. 2018 will mark his first Class A assignment.

Flames, 20, exited Friday's game after reaching on a hustled fielder's choice play and scoring in the fourth. He was replaced by Oswaldo Cabrera as a pinch-hitter later in that same inning.

After a 10-9 loss in the opener, the RiverDogs (29-30) send right-hander Rony Garcia (2-2, 3.64) to the bump after having their three-game win streak snapped. Saturday night's 7:05 p.m. start will be broadcast on WTMA 1250 AM and online streaming at riverdogs.com and the RiverDogs TuneIn radio station with "Saturday Dog Talk" pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m.
