FLORENCE, Ky. - Yasel Santana pitched a seven-inning gem, and the Florence Y'alls bats came through with a trio of long rallies to beat the Evansville Otters, 15-6, at Thomas More Stadium on Wednesday night.

Florence scored four runs in the third, four in the fifth, six in the seventh, and one more in the eighth en route to the lopsided victory. They hit three home runs in the process: Brennan Price, Axel Johnson, and Andres Sthormes all went deep. Price knocked a grand slam for his team-leading ninth homer of the year.

Overall, eight Y'alls batters reached base in the contest. Six notched multi-hit games, including a sparkling 4-for-5 from shortstop Alberti Chavez.

Yasel Santana (2-2) kept up his end of the bargain against Evansville, the best power-hitting team in the Frontier League. Otters batters managed just two runs and two hits off the right-hander. Santana dealt seven innings and struck out seven in the win. Impressively, Yasel accomplished this while throwing only 79 pitches. Karl Craigie pitched the eighth, with position player Harrison DiNicola closing out the game in the ninth.

For the Otters, Justin Watland takes the loss. He allowed eight earned runs in ten innings. An Otters team that entered the series with the league's top ERA has surrendered 21 runs in two nights.

Florence has now won eight of its last nine games. The 15-18 Y'alls continue their climb out of the cellar, now a full two games ahead of last-place Lake Erie.

The three-game series finishes tomorrow night from Florence for a 6:34 p.m. start. Jonaiker Villalobos is Florence's scheduled starter, with Brett Adcock for Evansville.
