THE LEAD OFF: The Power rallied from a two-run deficit to beat the Legends 13-3 on Saturday night. West Virginia took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a sac fly from JaCoby Jones, but the Lexington capitalized on three early Power errors to lead 3-1 after five. Wyatt Mathisen and Adam Landecker drove in runs in the sixth to even the score and Edwin Espinal singled in Michael Fransoso in the seventh as West Virginia recaptured the lead. The Power sent nine to the plate in the eighth, scoring five times, and eight men to the plate in the ninth, scoring four on Jones third grand slam of the season. Henry Hirsch earned the win with three scoreless relief innings behind starter Luis Heredia.

TWO BACK: JaCoby Jones second home run of the series, a grand slam on Saturday in the ninth, gives him 22 this season and places the infielder two behind Stephen Chapman's Power franchise record of 24, set during the 2007 season. Jones has hit 17 of his home runs on the road and just five at home. The shortstop became the first player this season to drive in five runs in any one game and the first since Stetson Allie against Delmarva on June 11, 2013.

ARCH RIVALS: The Power have played Lexington more than any other opponent during their nine previous seasons. The cross-division rivals have played 189 times since the start of the 2005 season. West Virginia leads the all-time series 96-93, including a 6-9 record this season. The Power are 4-3 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in 2014 and have a 56-43 all-time record at Lexington's home park.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE: On Saturday, Michael Fransoso became the first Power player since Chris Lashmet on May 30, 2012, to triple twice in one game. Fransoso is also the first person to score four runs in any game this season.

ON A ROLL: One game after Adam Landecker had his first multi-RBI of the season, the infielder drove in three to match his single-game career high on Saturday night. Landecker has four hits over nine at bats in the series with three doubles and five runs batted in. Prior to this series, he had four doubles and six runs batted in over 32 games this season.

RING RING: Elias Diaz, West Virginia's primary catcher during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday. The backstop was an All-Star for Altoona this season and was batting .328 over 91 games.

FOUR! Wyatt Mathisen had two doubles and two singles in his first four at bats on Saturday and finished 4-5 with a run batted in. Mathisen joins Edwin Espinal and JaCoby Jones as the only players with four hit games for the Power this season, though Espinal and Jones have accomplished this feat three times apiece.

THE ROAD AHEAD: West Virginia has 14 games remaining in the 2014 regular season, including just four more on the road. The Power conclude this series today at Whitaker Bank Ballpark and return to Lexington for three more three more from August 25-27. West Virginia will play six games at home this week and finish the season at home as well.

POWER PROMO UPDATE- AUGUST 23: The Power battle the Kannapolis Intimidators on Saturday, August 23 at Appalachian Power Park on for Back-to-School Night. Backpacks will be given away to the first 1,000 fans. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm and the game and giveaway are presented by Columbia Pipeline Group and 98.7 The Beat.

POWER POINTS: Austin Meadows was tabbed as the South Atlantic League's Player-of-the-Week on Monday while Buddy Borden was named South Atlantic League Pitcher-of-the-Week. It is the first time during the Pirates affiliation that the Power have swept the league's weekly awards... Dovydas Neverauskas retired a career-best eight batters on strikeouts over six innings on Friday, surpassing his previous career-best of six... Four Power errors on Saturday matched the club's single game high this season. West Virginia is 12-27 this year when committing multiple errors in a game.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh dropped a 4-3 walk-off at Washington. Wilson Ramos doubled in Bryce Harper for the come-from-behind win... Indianapolis beat Louisville 8-2. Chris McGuiness homered and drove in three... Altoona lost its second straight walk-off at Erie on a Dean Green three-run home run. ... Bradenton scored five in the eighth in a 5-2 win at St. Lucie... Jamestown edged Batavia 4-3.
