(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Lexington pitchers Alec Mills and Kevin Perez teamed up to hold West Virginia to one run and seven hits, and Elier Hernandez and Mauricio Ramos each hit two-run homers as the Legends rolled past the Power 8-1 Sunday afternoon.

West Virginia took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a single by Edwin Espinal, a double by Erich Weiss, and a run-scoring ground out by Wyatt Mathisen.

The Legends answered in the bottom of the second when Chad Johnson led off with a single and Hernandez followed with his eighth home run of the season. In the bottom of the third, Alfredo Escalera singled with one out, and Ramos homered with two outs, giving the Legends a 4-1 lead.

Kenny Diekroeger walked, moved to second on a ground out by Dex Kjerstad and scored on a single by Humberto Arteaga, who had three hits in the game.

The Legends scored their final run in the bottom of the seventh when Ramos doubled to drive in Escalera, who had reached base on a third-strike wild pitch.
