Jordan Allen (available player pool) paced the Knicks (9-22) with 23 points on 56.3-percent, five boards and shot 5-10 from three-point range in a reserve role. Justin Wright-Foreman (returning rights) collected 20 points, five assists and three rebounds. Melvin Frazier Jr. (trade) drained four three pointers en route to 15 points and 13 rebounds. Trevor Keels (Two-Way Player) finished with 15 points and seven dimes, tying a career-high.
For the Celtics (19-13), Mfiondu Kabengele led all with 29 points on 70.6-percent and 16 boards. Denzel Valentine chipped in 20 points on 58.3-percent, shot 4-8 from deep, hauled 10 rebounds and handed out eight assists. Luka Samanic and JD Davison mirrored 17 points apiece.
Both teams played to a deadlocked score, 49-up by halftime with the Knicks toting a lead as large as eight points and the Celtics having credited an advantage as large as five.
Inside the third period, Westchester kept Maine within single-digit controls for the first eight minutes before the Celtics began pulling away. Maine jumped out to a 16-point lead with 39 seconds left before an Allen three trimmed it to 13 before the fourth quarter start, 81-68.
Westchester cut its deficit to single figures again in the fourth quarter six times, with the last one occurring at the 4:40 mark, down nine, 100-91. A Kabengele oop from Davison pushed the Celtics back up 11 and they remained in the driver's seat until the final buzzer.
The Knicks season finale comes Saturday, March 25 at the Capital City Go-Go at 7 PM ET.
