
Wranglers Tame Grizzlies 4-1

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers (26-8-7, 59 Points) defeated the Utah Grizzlies (19-19-3, 41 Points) 4-1 at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande made 23 saves for his eighth win of the season. Wranglers' right wing Adam Cracknell scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season and dished out an assist n the win. Forward Bruce Mulherin also scored and added an assist for Las Vegas. Forwards Tyler Mosienko and Chris Ferraro also netted goals in the victory. Las Vegas will host Utah again at 5:05 pm on Sunday night at the Orleans Arena.
Las Vegas outshot Utah 15-4 in the first period, en route to a 1-0 lead. Center Tyler Mosienko carried the puck into the Utah zone and snapped his 13th of the season past Nathan Lawson for the Las Vegas lead.
In the second period, the Wranglers pushed their lead to 2-0 as Bruce Mulherin scored his eighth goal of the season at 2:37. Utah countered to cut the Las Vegas lead in half with a power-play goal late in the period by Garett Bembridge at 16:04.
Las Vegas pulled in front and extended the lead to 3-1 at 9:24 of the third period. Right wing Adam Cracknell scored his 19th goal of the season with a snap shot from the high slot, beating Lawson for the two-goal lead. Center Chris Ferraro finished off a 3-on-1 breakaway for his ninth goal of the season and a 4-1 final score.
The Wranglers host Utah again at 5:05 pm on Sunday night at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas will then head back on the road for 6:11 pm (PST) face-off in Phoenix.
