Wranglers Soar Over Condors with 4-1 Win

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers swept their first two-game series of the season tonight after beating the Bakersfield Condors 4-1.

The first two goals of the game were scored within a minute of each other in the first. Almost twelve minutes into the game, Wranglers forward Scott Campbell netted a goal with an assist from defenseman Mike Madill for a 1-0 Las Vegas lead. Just 28 seconds later, at the 12:10 mark, Condors forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel secured a goal to tie the game up 1-1. Pierro-Zabotel was assisted by center Mathew Sisca and left wing Jesse Gimblett.

The Wranglers were able to tack on two more goals for a 3-1 lead in the second with Ash Goldie scoring on assists from forward Judd Blackwater and center Adam Miller, and Madill notching a power play goal with forward Ryan Weston and Miller on the assists. An early power play goal in the third by Weston, assisted by forward Robbie Smith and Miller, gave the Wranglers their final score for a 4-1 win. Madill and Campbell each received a Three Star nomination tonight, and Miller earned the first Three Star award with three assists tonight.

Las Vegas plays the Colorado Eagles for just the third time this season on Tuesday, Dec. 20, with an Orleans Arena puck drop at 7:05 p.m. Tonight's full box score can be found here .
