Grizzlies Fall in Colorado

Loveland, Colorado - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Utah Grizzlies (13-11-0-2) 7-2 Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center.

Utah signed four local players before the game in an attempt to field a full team on the ice due to a recent array of injuries and call-ups. The game marked the 500th for the organization since they joined the ECHL in 2005.

Colorado led 2-0 after one period by scoring two goals on special teams 4:17 apart in the first 10:05.

The Grizzlies made it 2-1 and 3-2 in the second period on early goals by Bryan Cameron (4) and Jeff LoVecchio (8). The Eagles, however, then scored two goals in the next two minutes to take a 5-2 lead and added two more in the third period to make the final 7-2.

Utah is home next week for Family Night Monday, where kids under 12 will be admitted free and there will be $1 Food and Drink specials. Wednesday is another Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, Fries, Draft Beers and Soft Drinks. Students will ID will be admitted for $5.
