
Worrell recalled to Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that Peter Worrell has been recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. Worrell, a left wing, skated in 37 games this season with the Checkers.
A seven-year veteran of the National Hockey League, Worrell recorded 15 points (7g, 8a), 139 penalty minutes and had a plus-minus rating of -8 this season with the Checkers.
Worrell, 28, was the seventh-round selection of the Florida Panthers (166th overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He led the NHL in penalty minutes during the 2001-02 season.
