
Titans add Yale's Zappala

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that they have agreed to terms with forward Joe Zappala.
Zappala, 22, just completed his senior season at Yale University where he posted seven goals, 15 assists and 72 penalty minutes over 31 games. During his sophomore campaign in 2002-03, the 6'0", 205-pounder was tied for the team lead in points (30), while also leading the Bulldogs in goals (18) and the nation in game-winning goals (9). Zappala, a native of Medford, Massachusetts, compiled 83 points (39g, 44a) in 124 games for Yale (2002-06).
The Titans begin their three-game weekend on Friday, March 24 at 7:30pm against the Wheeling Nailers at the Sovereign Bank Arena and will screen "Our Year", the DVD commemorating the Titans' Kelly Cup Championship, following the Titans/Royals game on Sunday, March 26 at 3:00pm.
