
Worcester Sharks Sign Veteran Defenseman Brian White to PTO

WORCESTER, MA - San Jose Sharks Vice President and Assistant General Manager Wayne Thomas announced that the Worcester Sharks have signed veteran defenseman Brian White to a professional tryout agreement.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound White played nine games this season with the Kalamazoo Wings on the IHL recording one assist. Last season, Brian played 69 games with the now defunct Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL recording 10 points (1-9-10) and 105 penalty minutes and appeared in 10 playoff games for the Providence Bruins recording one goal and 10 penalty minutes.
The 32-year-old native of Winchester, MA has played 420 regular season games in the AHL with Hershey, Cincinnati, and Providence recording 69 points (13-56-69) and 269 penalty minutes. White has also suited up for two NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche going scoreless with no penalty minutes. Brian played his college hockey at University of Maine and has played in two full seasons in Europe. White will wear #8 for the Worcester Sharks.
The Sharks play game three of a four-game homestand on Friday evening when they rematch with Bridgeport followed by a Saturday night date with Albany. Saturday is Guns N' Hoses Night as the Worcester police department will face the fire department prior to the Sharks game. Fans can explore fire engines and police vehicles in the plaza. It is also FINZ's birthday party celebration! Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:05pm.
