Calgary, AB - Defenceman Jett Woo set up the game winning goal then added an insurance marker to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-3 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Monday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Carson Focht, Sean Tschigerl, Evan Toth and Orca Wiesblatt also scored for the home side with Toth's marker his first career goal in the Western Hockey League. Teammates Mark Kastelic and Tyson Galloway also recorded milestones with Kastelic picking up an assist for his 200th career point and Galloway a helper for his first WHL point.

Jake Neighbours, Vladimir Alistrov and Josh Williams replied for the league-leading Oil Kings who have now dropped their last two meetings to their provincial rivals.

Special teams played a large role as Calgary went 2-2 on the powerplay while killing all three Edmonton chances.

The Oil Kings outshot the Hitmen 32-26 but goaltender Jack McNaughton made 29 saves to record the win. Sebastian Cossa tallied 21 stops in the loss.

The Hitmen, 17-11-4-1, will now get set to ring in 2020 with a New Year's Day game at the 'Dome against Medicine Hat. Puck drops at 1:00 p.m. for Airdrie Day presented by Southland Transportation.
