WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- CORY LAROSE: Registered 11 points in his last five games (5G, 6A), which includes five goals and four assists in four games last week ... Recorded 10 shots in Sunday's loss, one shy of matching an AHL season-high ... Ranks seventh in the AHL with 31 helpers and shares 13th with 45 points in 30 matchups

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Recorded three goals and two assists in his last three games after being held to just one marker in his previous four tilts ... Leads the AHL with 57 assists, which already matches the career-high he set in 80 games last year, and 85 points in 46 outings ... Ranks second in the league with a +25 plus/minus rating and fourth with 28 goals

--- DEREK MacKENZIE: Notched a short-handed goal and an assist on Sunday after being held to one goal and one helper in his previous seven outings ... Shares the AHL lead with four shorties and holds the Wolves franchise record with 20 short-handed goals, which accounts for one quarter of his 80 career AHL tallies ... Ranks fourth on Chicago with 11 markers and ranks seventh with 23 points in 37 tilts

--- BRETT STERLING: Netted two goals and two assists in Saturday's win, the fourth time this season he has accrued four or more points in a contest this season ... Leads the AHL with 37 goals, ranks second with 15 power-play markers and shares third with 63 points in 44 outings

The Wolves start a franchise-record tying nine-game road trip on Tuesday when they head to Iowa to battle the Stars. Chicago, which does not return to the Allstate Arena until Feb. 11, leads the AHL with 18 wins in 22 road games. Last year, the squad recorded 16 wins in 40 tilts away from home.

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves hosted an AHL season-high 14,927 fans at the Allstate Arena in Saturday's win against San Antonio.

--- Sunday's game marked Chicago's third straight loss in the shootout; the Wolves have reached the shootout 144 times in franchise history, posting a 75-69 mark, which includes a 1-3 record this year.

--- The Wolves tied a franchise record by posting two short-handed goals in Sunday's first period, just the fifth time the squad has posted two shorties in a frame in 13 seasons.

--- Chicago's seven goals on Saturday marked the ninth time in 46 outings this season the squad has lit the lamp seven or more times; the Wolves lead the league with 203 markers, 24 more than the next closet club.

--- The Wolves have held their opponents scoreless on the power play in three straight games for the second time this season; overall, the club has blanked its rivals with the man-advantage 11 times this year (7-2-1-1).

JUMP FOR JOY

Skates, the Wolves mascot, will appear at the Anne M. Jeans Elementary School in Willowbrook on Tue., Jan. 23, to help promote the Jump Rope For Heart program with the American Heart Association. The program promotes the value of physical activity to elementary school children while showing them they can contribute to their community's welfare.

Sun., Jan. 21 Toronto 4, (at) Chicago 3 (SO)
--- Chicago squandered a third-period lead but forced overtime before falling, 4-3, in the shootout against the Toronto Marlies at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards DEREK MacKENZIE and COLIN STUART notched short-handed goals while right wing DARREN HAYDAR tied the game with a third-period marker
--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE notched 49 saves in regulation and overtime and posted saves on two of five attempts in the shootout

Sat., Jan. 20 (at) Chicago 7, San Antonio 2
--- The Wolves broke a 2-2 deadlock late in the second period and never looked back, earning a 7-2 victory over the San Antonio Rampage at the Allstate Arena
--- Six different Wolves tallied goals, including BRETT STERLING who led the way with four points (2G, 2A) on the night
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT registered 27 saves

Fri., Jan. 19 Chicago 6, (at) Peoria 1
--- Chicago snapped a 1-1 tie late in the first period then reeled off five unanswered goals before defeating the Peoria Rivermen, 6-1, at Carver Arena
--- Centers KEVIN DOELL and CORY LAROSE both notched two goals and one assist to lead a pack of five Wolves with multiple points
--- Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 42 saves on 43 shots

Wed., Jan. 17 Toronto 5, (at) Chicago 4
--- The Wolves battled back with two third-period goals, but it wasn't enough as they fell, 5-4, to the Toronto Marlies at the Allstate Arena
--- Center CORY LAROSE and defenseman MARK POPOVIC each collected two goals and an assist while BRETT STERLING dished out two assists
--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE accrued 22 saves
